Hand engraving originated around the 15th century in Germany and neighboring Italy and has been practiced to decorate precious items until today.

Jewelry By Alfred is committed to this old tradition, we do not use machines, only chissels also called burins are used.

We hand engrave on any item except for items which are plated or have unique surface treatments.
